UNP: (Unified Notification Platform) Paging Relay
UNP Paging Relay
Bi-Directional Paging Relay for Analog System Integration
The UNP Paging Relay from Syn-Apps® is a small PoE network
appliance providing many features including unicast-to-multicast
conversion that can eliminate bandwidth-intensive unicast streams
across WAN connections. The Paging Relay enables fire alarm
control panels, analog PA systems, analog security systems, phys-
ical contacts, and more to integrate seamlessly with the Honey-
well® UNP Unified Notification Platform.
Paging Relay Operation
This patented product allows UNP notifications sent in multicast
format to be converted to unicast for multi-site, WAN-connected
voice networks. The Paging Relay converts incoming streams
back to multi-cast at the destination site used for delivery to the fol-
lowing appropriate end-points:
The Paging Relay is small enough to hold in one hand and fea-
tures plug-n-play technology, making installation as simple as con-
necting an Ethernet cable to a device.
