Introduction
Welcome to the SL MkIII User Guide.
This guide aims to give you the knowledge needed to get the most out of the SL MkIII. Information throughout this
guide applies to both the 49- and 61-key versions of the SL MkIII. This information includes detailed explanations of
the hardware, the device’s various ‘Views’ and menus, and how to use the unit with external hardware and/or soft-
ware. Additionally, we provide ‘tips and tricks’, as well as common scenarios you might face as a producer or perform-
er. We hope you enjoy creating music with the SL MkIII for years to come.

Hardware Overview
The SL MkIII 49- and 61-note versions have the same front panel controls and rear panel connections.
1. Power On/Off button
2. DC power jack: accepts a 12V/1,000 mA power supply, centre pin
positive
3. USB Type B socket
4. Three DIN sockets (5-pin) for MIDI In | Out | Out2/Thru
5. Two 1/4” TS or TRS jacks with silver metal rings for Pedal 1 (Sustain)
and Pedal 2 (Expression), and one 1/4” jack for Pedal 3 (Footswitch)
6. Seven 3.5mm TS jacks with silver metal rings for Clock Out, CV1,
Gate1, Mod1, CV2, Gate2 & Mod2 outputs
7. Kensington Security Slot
8. Teal silicone strip: the ’feet’ of the SL MkIII
9. Shift button
10. Global Settings button
11. InControl, Zones, Sequencer, Scales, Arp, Tempo and Latch buttons
