CX Options
Examples
To see your context in eDirectory before logging in, type
CX
To set a new context from the root
Place a period in front of the new context you type, or
Enter the proper number of trailing periods to reach the root level, or
Use the /R option.
To back up one level in the eDirectory tree, type
CX .
(You must put a space between the command and the trailing period.)
To go down two levels from PROVO.NOVELL to
SYSTEM.ENGINEERING. PROVO.NOVELL, type
CX SYSTEM.ENGINEERING
To change your current context from TESTING. PROVO.NOVELL.US
to SYSTEM.MARKETING. PROVO.NOVELL.US, type
CX .SYSTEM.MARKETING.PROVO.NOVELL.US
or
CX SYSTEM.MARKETING.
Option Use to
/R List containers at the root level, or change
context in relation to the root.
/T List containers below the current context or a
specified context in a tree structure.
/CONT List containers at the current context or a
specified context in a vertical list with no
structure.
/A Include all objects at or below the context. Use
with /T or /CONT.
/C Scroll continuously through output.
