RConsoleJ Messages
This section explains the following error messages you might encounter using
the Remote Console utility (RConsoleJ) and the actions to take:
“Cannot Connect to...” on page 495
“Connected to a proxy at...” on page 495
“Connection failed” on page 495
“Not a proxy at...” on page 496
“Unknown host” on page 496
Cannot Connect to...
Possible Cause: RConsoleJ cannot connect to the target or the proxy server indicated in this
message.
Action: Enter the correct port number and try again.
Action: Reload the target or proxy server NLM
TM
with the required port number.
Connected to a proxy at...
Possible Cause: The server, whose IP address or the DNS name was entered in the Agent
Address field, is functioning as a proxy server only.
Action: Check if the NLM on the given port number of the server is RCONPRXY. If
so, change it to RCONAG6.NLM.
Connection failed
Possible Cause: The server, whose IP address or the DNS name was entered in the Agent
Address field, is not responding.
Action: Ensure that RCONAG6.NLM is loaded on the server.
