Sleep Timer
Before waking up, of course, you rst have to fall asleep. To make the way there as
pleasant as possible, there is a sleep timer. When activated, the sleep timer switches the
A540 off after a predetermined time, which is particularly helpful if you’ve already fallen
asleep in the meantime… Good night!
One more thing: Since the alarm function can be set with a separate volume setting, you
don’t need to worry about sleeping through the A540, even though you listened to it at a
soothing volume while going to sleep! We really do think of everything.
Alarm
Yes, your A540 also has an integrated alarm clock – more precisely, it has two, so that
you can program two different wake-up times. So waking up in the morning will be a
joyful experience! We’ve really worked hard on this, so you don’t have to greet the new
day with just your usual radio stations, you can choose to be awoken gently from your
slumbers by any of the over 14,000 radio stations available via the Internet. Of course,
your A540 also has its own alarm.

The alarm can be enabled and the time can be set
in the menu. Available sources for the alarm sound
are a beep, the last station you were listening to or
your favourites. To set the volume, the source is
played and you can use the navigation dial to set
the desired level.

Equalizer
The equalizer enables you to adjust the soundscape of the NOXON to your liking. The
various presets emphasise the bass, midrange and treble differently, so that everyone
can nd a pleasing setting. The line-out connection bypasses the equaliser; the sound is
passed on without any alteration.
