on the device: You can assign titles or stations to one of the number buttons for
quick access. To do so, press and hold the corresponding button on the device
during playback until, after approximately 1-2 seconds, an acknowledgement
appears on the display.

Station presets (even in standby mode!): As soon as it's saved, you can call
the station up again just by briefly pressing the assigned number button on the
remote or the device.
This is the quickest way to get to a station, and can be used even when the
NOXON is in standby mode.

Text input: The number buttons are labelled with the input characters that are
associated with them—similar to SMS input, which you will know from your
mobile phone. Read more about this in the next subsection on text entry.
In lists, the buttons call the Search function for fast retrieval of entries in long
lists (the Search field appears in the first line, but the search doesn't start until
you press the right button to end input!).
By the way, the 1 button is used to enter various special characters, and the 0
button for a space. Using / , you can likewise "scroll through" these charac-
ters during input!
Stop: Stops all playback.

Alarm: Opens the settings menu for the alarm function
Snooze / sleep timer:
When the alarm clock is inactive: Quick access to the sleep timer menu.
When the alarm is active (triggered): Briefly pressing the snooze button trig-
gers "snooze" mode. This stops the alarm for 5 30 minutes, depending on
the setting in the alarm menu; then it repeats until pressing and holding the
snooze button switches it off until its next activation.
