NOXON iRadio Cube
52 ENGLISH
Depending on the size of the favourites list on your Internet radio, it can take a little while for all favourites
to be transferred. This is normal and does not indicate a problem.
B4.3 - Operation
The left side shows the favourites of the Internet radio station to which you are connected. The favourites
stored in your computer's RAM are shown on the right.
You can copy the entries back and forth between the device favourites and local favourites windows using
the buttons. The single arrow (>) copies the selected favourites, and the double arrow (>>) copies all
favourites in the desired direction.
After copying the favourites, you can back up the loaded favourites to your hard drive using the "Back up
local favourites" menu item. The generated file (with the ending .xml) contains your complete favourites
list. which you can back up or give to an Internet radio newbie, for example.
Accordingly, you can also load an existing favourites file using the "Load local favourites" menu item.
B4.4 - Playing back password-protected Internet radio stations
With the help of the Favourites Commander, your iRadio can also play back password-protected Internet
radio stations. Password-protected Internet radio stations are frequently found in the environment of pro-
viders that offer subscriptions for high-quality contents.
It supports the so-called Basic Authentication procedure, which is recognisable in that the user data ap-
pears in front of the actual Internet address of the radio stream in the address (URL). For example, an Inter-
net address could look like this: "http://username:password@stream.server.de"
You can save this address in the favourites of your NOXON as follows:
Open the Favourites Commander and establish a connection to your NOXON as outlined above.
Press the right mouse button in the right subwindow ("Local favourites") and select the option "Add local
favourites" in the context menu.
In the input field that now appears, enter the Internet address (URL) of the Internet radio in the format
shown above as well as the name of the Internet radio. The name serves as a description of the favourites
and can be chosen at will. Then press the "Save" button.
The favourite now appears in your local favourites. If you copy this to your NOXON now with the help of the
copy function (via the button in the middle), the favourite is saved along with the password in your NOXON.
