Special National Conditions based on Regulations and Other National Differences
1.1
All equipment is to be designed to allow
installation according to the National Electrical
Code (NEC), ANSI/NFPA 70, the Canadian
Electrical Code (CEC), Part I, CAN/CSA C22.1,
and when applicable, the National Electrical
Safety Code, IEEE C2.
Also, for such equipment marked or otherwise
identified, installation is allowed per the
Standard for the Protection of Information
Technology Equipment, ANSI/NFPA 75.

Additional requirements apply to some forms of
power distribution equipment, including sub-
assemblies.

For lengths exceeding 3.05 m, external
interconnecting flexible cord and cable
assemblies are required to be a suitable cable
type (e.g., DP, CL2) specified in the NEC.
