ImageAXS Pro creates a new data record each time you acquire a
source file into a collection (see Chapter 6). These records contain
basic information about the source file and a thumbnail image that
represents the file.
ImageAXS Pro automatically creates “blank” records — that is,
records that are not associated with a source file — when you import
text data into a collection if records in the import file do not match
any source files in the collection (see “Importing a Text Data File” on
page 7-4).
You may wish to manually create blank records in a collection in
order to enter data into those records before the source files are
available.
To add a blank record to a collection:
• Select New Record from the Record menu.
An empty record with a generic thumbnail image appears in
the collection window.
COPYING
R
ECORDS
You can copy ImageAXS Pro data records by dragging them from
one collection into another collection.
To copy records from one collection to another:
STEP 1 Open either the Thumbnails View or the Text List View for each
collection (the one with the records you want to move, and the
one to which you want to move the records).
STEP 2 Arrange the windows so that both are visible at the same time.
