ECORDS
When you move the source file for a data record to another volume
outside ImageAXS Pro, it becomes offline, and you can no longer
view or manage it in ImageAXS Pro. (ImageAXS Pro uses the
Macintosh alias manager to track files that are renamed and/or
moved on the same volume.)
To update the data record to reflect the new location of the source
file, use the Update Location command in the Source File menu. You
can also use this command to add a source file and thumbnail image
to blank data records (see “Creating New Records” on page 11-1).
Use either the Update Location or the Update If Modified command
to create an updated thumbnail image when a source file has been
edited, or to link a data record to a different source file.
To update records to reflect the location of the source file:
STEP 1 Select the record(s) you want to update
STEP 2 Choose Update Location from the Source File menu.
The Locate Files of Selected Records dialog box appears.
