IMAGEAXS PRO MACINTOSH USER’S GUIDE
Delimiters panel, Export Data dialog box
STEP 7 Follow the instructions in the Delimiters panel to identify the
characters used to separate records and other elements in the
export file.
If your data records include returns and tabs inside long
text fields, click to put a check mark in the Convert
Characters checkbox and type substitute characters in the
appropriate text entry boxes. (These substitute characters
keep the returns and tabs in the long text fields from being
mistaken for delimiters separating records or fields.)
STEP 8 Click Field Labels as First Record to make the names of the
fields in your collection the first "record" in your export file.
Doing this makes it easier to map fields if you import the
file into another ImageAXS Pro collection, and it lets you
use the field names as column headings in a table or
spreadsheet.
S
TEP 9 Click Export.
A standard file dialog box appears.
STEP 10 Enter a name and choose a location for saving the export file,
then click Save.
ImageAXS Pro creates the text file using the name and
location you entered.
