Proles Window
TheProleswindowisformanagingyourvoiceproles.
Avoice proleisacompletesetof dataonhowyouspeak.Inordertospeakinto
MacSpeechDictate,youmusthaveatleastoneprole;andateverymomentyou
areusingexactlyoneprole(theactive proleorcurrent prole,markedintheProles
windowwitha icon).
TheProleswindow.Fourproles
aredisplayed:theactiveprole,
asecondprole,andtwoolder
prolesthatwouldneedtobe
updatedtobeusedwiththis
versionof MacSpeechDictate.
TosummontheProleswindow,chooseTools>Proles.If youhavechecked
ShowProlesWindowintheGeneralPreferencespane,theProleswindowwill
appearautomaticallywhenyoustartupMacSpeechDictate,offeringyouachance
toactivateaprole;otherwise,MacSpeechDictateactivatestheproleyouwere
previouslyusing.
Inmanycases,oneproleisallyou’llneed.Butyou’llneedmultiple prolesin
certainsituations:
• If differentpeopleareusingMacSpeechDictate,eachwillneedtheirown
prole.
