oroff,andclickingittogglesthemicrophonestate.Itprovidesasimpleandcon-
venientwaytoturnthemicrophoneonoroff,nomatterwhatapplicationisfront-
most,andevenif theStatuswindowisnotpresent.If you’dprefernottoseethe
statusmenuitem,uncheckInTheMenuBarintheAppearancePreferencespane.
