Uninstalling PageKeeper
Sometimes uninstalling and then reinstalling PageKeeper and Caere
Scan Manager will solve a problem.
To uninstall from Windows NT, you must be logged in with
administrator privileges.
To uninstall PageKeeper:
1 Exit PageKeeper.
2 Click
Start
in the Windows taskbar and choose
Settings
Control Panel.
3 Double-click
Add/Remove Programs
.
4Select
PageKeeper Pro
and click
Add/Remove
.
You will be prompted to close the PageKeeper Jobs application
if it is open. If so, click
Yes
to confirm you want to close it.
5 Click
Yes
to confirm that you want to remove the application.
6 Restart your computer when uninstallation is complete.
PageKeeper’s Uninstall program does
not
remove the
PageKeeper installation folder or its subfolders. The default
installation folder is PageKeeperPro30. It has the following
subfolders:
• \document
This contains sample documents and any other documents
you might have saved in this location.
• \pkdatapath
This contains index files for the PageKeeper database.
• \system
This contains program files which get removed during
uninstallation.
• \temp
This contains temporary files.
