2.3.2 FURTHER FUNCTIONS
Fever alarm
If an elevated temperature of
≧ 37.5 °C (99.5 °F) is measured in forehead mode, one
long and three short consecutive beeps are heard.
If a fever alarm is indicated during the
temperature measurement, keep body
temperature under continuous observation and
if the person's condition is uncertain, consult a
doctor.
Room
temperature
If the buttons are not pressed, the device automatically
switches to room temperature mode after about 1 minute
and now displays room temperature on the LCD display.
The temperature symbol appears.
Mode
switch
With the device switched on, press and hold the ON/MEM
button whilst simultaneously briefly pressing the
SCAN button (several times in succession). This switches
the measuring task between forehead and surface
temperature measurement. Either the or the
symbol will appear on the LCD display.
