There are the following primary differences between the previous (’A’)
and new (’C’) Colpitts oscillator configurations:
• Hysteresis was added to the clock input buffer to reduce sensitivity
to noise
• Internal parasitics were reduced from EXTAL to VSS to increase
oscillator gain margin.
