3.22 BIOS FLASHBACK
With a USB flash drive and the latest BIOS, you
can update the BIOS without a CPU and you do
not need to power on the system. To use the BIOS
Flashback feature, perform the steps below.
Download the latest BIOS file from NZXT's website: http://www.nzxt.com.
Extract the BIOS file from the zip file to a secure location and rename the BIOS file "creative.rom".
Prepare a USB flash drive and format it in FAT32 and copy "creative.rom" to the root directory on the flash drive.
Plug in the 24-pin power connector to the motherboard and turn on the power supply's AC switch. Do not power on the system.
Plug the USB flash drive into the USB connector labeled with "BIOS" on the rear IO panel.
Press the BIOS Flashback Switch for about 3 seconds to begin the process. The button will flash to indicate the process has been started.
Please wait until the LED stops blinking and has turned o, indicating the BIOS flashing process has been completed.
A separate PC system is needed to prepare the USB flash drive.
If the LED turns solid green, this means the BIOS Flashback is not operating
properly. Plug the USB drive to the USB BIOS Flashback port.
Before using the BIOS Flashback function, please suspend BitLocker and any
encryption or security relying on the TPM. It is recommended to disable fTPM
before updating the BIOS. Otherwise an unpredictable failure may occur.
