AutoConfig
This application provides a user-friendly
way to set up operator specific settings,
including GPRS, WAP, and MMS.
The AutoConfig process can be performed as soon as the SIM card is accessible. It is
activated in 2 ways.
1. During every soft/hard reset, the operator ID obtained from the SIM card will be compared
with the current setting. If they don’t match, a dialog box will ask if you want to perform
network configuration now. Once confirmed, the AutoConfig will be launched to configure
your device to the current preferred network.
2. When the AutoConfig is launched via the Programs menu, the same detection process
will be carried out and possible selections will be listed in the preferred network.
Please note
The AutoConfig process is started only when the device is in the HOME network (not
international roaming). The AutoConfig process is also started once the SIM card has
been changed.
