Apply a half inch bead of Oatey Plumber’s Putty all the
way around the underside of the No-Calk barrel ange.
(Note: Putty CANNOT be used on ABS drain assembly.)
Place the No-Calk barrel through the top side of the
shower base hole.
Compress the drain down as far as you can without twisting.
Place the rubber sealing gasket and friction washer over the barrel to the underside of the
shower base. (Note: Rubber gasket is pushed up against the underside of the shower base.)
Tighten the locking ring down with adjustable pliers.
Remove any excess putty from the top of the drain. In colder temperatures, you may need to wait 15
minutes and tighten again to ensure that all excess putty has been forced out from under the ange.
Install the shower base into the nal location.
Place the rubber pipe gasket over the drainpipe coming up through the No-Calk barrel. Tapered
end of the gasket MUST be facing up.
Push down on the rubber pipe gasket until it sets at the bottom of the No-Calk barrel.
Thread the gasket. Set screw into place over the drainpipe with the tool provided and tighten
with a screwdriver.
Snap in your drain cover.
