RESIDENTIAL DRAINS
OVERVIEW
Residential Drains carry water out of a dwelling by connecting to the
Drain, Waste and Vent (DWV) system. Some may require waterproong or
additional accessories depending on placement and use within a dwelling.
PREFORMED SHOWER BASE DRAINS
Preformed Shower Base Drains come in a variety of materials to
connect to the DWV system in a dwelling. Composite preformed
bases typically made of acrylic or berglass have a pre-sloped
surface directed to the drain location.
TILE SHOWER BASE DRAINS
Tile Shower Drains come in a variety of materials to connect to
the DWV system in a dwelling. Tile bases need to have a grade
of 1/4" per foot sloping towards the drain that must receive a
waterproong membrane to ensure proper evacuation of water.
PLASTIC NO-CAULK
Plastic shower drain with snap-in strainer
that connects to multiple pipe materials.
Uses a mechanical connection to secure
gasket around the pipe.
Also available in ABS material.
Adjustable height shower drain
available in PVC or ABS material.
Square and round strainers can
be used with this drain. Used with
a PVC or CPE sheet waterproong
membrane. Also approved for
roll-on waterproong.
PVC drain bases are now gray in color
and have improved weep hole channels.
Using the countersunk holes, the ange base can
be secured to the suboor with an approved fastener.
Reversible clamp collar can be inverted to achieve
additional 1" in nished height.
BRASS NO-CAULK
Brass shower drain with snap-in strainer
that connects to multiple pipe materials.
Uses a mechanical connection to secure
gasket around the pipe.
SOLVENT WELD
Plastic shower drain with snap-in strainer
that connects to Sch. 40 PVC pipe. Uses
a solvent weld connection requiring an
approved cement.
Also available in ABS material.
CAST IRON
Cast iron tile shower drain can be used
with any waterproong membrane,
including hot mop applications. Multiple
drain connection options are available.
SOLVENT WELD OFFSET
Plastic shower drain with snap-in strainer
that connects to Sch. 40 PVC pipe. Uses
a solvent weld connection requiring an
approved cement. Provides solution when
structural oor joist can’t be moved at
rough-in phase.
Also available in ABS material.
