Additional Datamatrix Settings
Use the following options to configure the output barcode settings:
Position group:
l
Orientation: Use the drop-down to select the orientation of the barcode added to the
page.
l
Left: Enter the distance between the left margin of the page and the barcode, in inches
(in).
l
Bottom: Enter the distance between the bottom margin of the page and the barcode, in
inches (in).
Barcode-specific properties:
l
Module Width: Specifies the width of the narrow bars in centimeters. Changing this value
to higher value will make the barcode bigger when Scale is set to None.
l
Encoding: The data represented in the symbol can be compressed using of the following
algorithms:
l
ASCII: is used to encode data that mainly contains ascii characters (0-127)
l
C40: is used to encode data that mainly contains numbers and uppercase
l
Text: is used to encode data that mainly contains numbers and lowercase
l
Base256: used to encode 8 bit values
l
None: Does not use any encoding.
l
Auto Detect: Automatically detect the data content and encodes using the most
appropriate method.
l
Format: Use the drop-down to select the data matrix format (its size).
l
Print human readable text: Check to add a textual version of the barcode data. Not
available for 2d barcodes such as QR and PDF417.
l
Placement: Use the drop-down to select whether to place the human readable text
above or below the barcode.
l
Font name: Use the drop-down to select the font with which to display the human
readable text.
l
Font size: Enter a font size for the human readable text.
l
Text: Enter the text used to generate the barcode.
