l EAN-8 Properties:
l Height: Enter the Barcode height in either metric (cm/mm), inch (in) or point (pt)
values.
l Module Width: Specifies the width of the narrow bars. Changing this value to a
higher value will generally make the Barcode bigger. The EAN-8 barcode employs
a module width between 0.27mm and 0.66mm.
l l Checksum: Use the drop-down to select how to deal with the Barcode
checksum:
l Ignore: Ignore checksum calculations.
l Auto: Add a checksum character to the Barcode if the initial value does not
validate. This is the default value.
l Check: Verify the Barcode has a valid checksum.
l Add: Calculate and add a checksum character to Barcode, regardless of
current value.
l Print human readable text: Check to add a textual version of the Barcode
data.
l Placement: Use the drop-down to select whether to place the human
readable text above or below the Barcode.
l Font name: Use the drop-down to select the font with which to display the
human readable text.
Vertically-oriented fonts (fonts whose typeface name begin with the at
(@) character) are not supported in Connect.
l Font size: Enter a font size for the human readable text.
l Process Tilde:
This selection is not applicable to this barcode type.
l Text: Enter the text used to generate the Barcode.
l
Add button: Click to display a list of variable data that could be used for
generating the Barcode.
