ThedatabaseisusedforreferencingtemporaryConnectfilesandforsortingtemporarilyextrac-
teddata,andsimilar.
Note: Whenperforminganupgradeinstallation,iftheMariaDBversionhasnotsig-
nificantlychanged,thennoattemptwillbemadetoupgradethedatabasecontent.
IfthereisasignificantMariaDBversionchange,thedatabasecontentwillbeupgraded,so
thatitwillcontinuetoworkwiththenewMariaDBversion.
Apre-existingMariaDB,MySQLorMicrosoftSQLserver(referredtoasanexternaldatabase,in
thisdocumentation)couldbeusedinstead,forthesamepurposes.Theexternaldatabasecould
resideonthesamecomputeroronaseparateserver.
Ifyouwishtomakeuseofanexternaldatabase,pleasemakesuretheMariaDBoptionisnot
selected.
Caution: IfyouchosenottoinstallthesuppliedMariaDBdatabase,andinsteadoptfor
usingapre-existing(External)databasethenyouyourselfmustensurethattheExternal
databaseisaccessibletoConnect.
UplandObjectifLunewilltakenoresponsibilityforsettingupdatabaseconnectionstoany
butthesuppliedMariaDBdatabase.
