Mixing text and data in a cell with a direct link to a data field
Bydefault,eachDynamicTablecellthathasadirectlinktoadatafieldshowsaplaceholder.For
example:@CompanyName@referstoadatafieldnamedCompanyName.However,theseplace-
holdersarenot used as selector.
Instead,ifacellhasthedata-fieldordata-sumattribute,thesoftwarewillreplacetheentire contents
ofthatcellwithavalue:thecurrentvalueofthedatafield,orarunningtotal,respectively.

Any text that was added in Design mode will disappear.
Inordertomixdataandtextinacellwithadata-attribute,youshouldremovethedata-fieldordata-
sumattribute,respectively,fromthecellitselfandthenputthatattributeonanelementinsidethecell.

1. IntheWorkspace,opentheDesigntab.
2. Selectthecell(see"Selectinganelement"onpage570).
3. Onthe"Attributespane"onpage969,setFieldorSumtoNone.
4. Typetextinthecell,beforeand/oraftertheplaceholder.
5. Selecttheplaceholder,right-clickitandselectWrap in Span...
6. SelectthenewSpanelement.
7. Onthe"Attributespane"onpage969,setFieldorSumtothedesireddatafield.
8. Reapplytheformatifneeded(see"FormattingvaluesinaDynamicTable"onthefacingpage).
