Importing a .po file
Importinga.pofilefileiseasy:drag & droporcopy & pastethefilefromthefilesystemtotheTrans-
lationsfolderintheResourcespane.
Alternatively,right-clicktheTranslationsfolderintheResourcespaneandselectNew Translation >
PO files...
Youcouldalsodownload a remote.pofilethatisbeingusedinthetemplate.ExpandtheTranslations
folderontheResourcespane.Thenright-clickthe.rpofileandselectDownload Resource.
Editing an imported .po file
Whenyoudouble-clicka.pofileintheTranslationsfolderitwillbeopenedinthetexteditorofthe
Designer,whereyoucanreadandeditit.Ifyouareworkingwithatranslatorortranslatingagency,
remembertosendthemacopyofthemodified.pofiletokeepthe.pofilesinsync.
Updating an imported .po file
OLConnectDesignermonitorsthe.pofileondisk(inthefolderfromwhichitwaslastimported)for
changes.Whena.pofileondiskhaschanged,therespective.pofileinthetemplategetsasmallaster-
iskbehinditsname.Right-clickthefileintheTranslationsfolderandselectUpdatefromthecontextual
menutoimportthelatestchanges.
Using a remote .po file
Inordertousearemote.pofile,youmustaddtheURLtotheTranslationsfolderontheResources
pane.
1. Right-clicktheTranslationsfolderontheResourcespane,andselectNew Translation > New
Remote PO file.
2. EnteranameforthefileasitappearsintheTranslationsfolder.Forbettermanagement,it'sbest
tousethesamefilenameastheremoteresource.
3. EntertheURLfortheremote.pofile.
Ifthefileislocatedonanexternalwebserver,thismustbeafullURL,includingthehttp://or
https://prefix,domainname,pathandfilename.
