3-7 DB Assistant
(2) Operation Flow
The following illustrates the steps required in using the DB Assistant to add file information to scanned
image data and designate the folder in which to save that file.
Network Manager
Scanner
Destination Computer
Use the DB Assistant
to register the file
information.
Use a Web browser or
the scanner itself to
register the IP address
of the destination
computer.
Use the Scanner File
Utility to select the
option to be used: PDF
Keyword Assist or
Database Assist.
Save the image data and
file information in the
destination folder.

(PDF Keyword Assist option)
CSV
and
(Database Assist option)
Select “Database
Connection”,
select the desired
file information and
scan the original.
Image data file with file
information keyword
CSV file which includes
the file information
The scanned data will
be sent.
