1. GETTING STARTED
• Before beginning installation, conrm that you have a ush frame door (g. A). If
it is a raised frame and has screw hols/plugs, please call our
Customer Service line at 1-866-635-4968.
Tip: If your hand sinks down to the glass as you run it
across your door, you have a ush frame
(g. A).
• Unpack your Add-On Blind unit and inspect for damage.
• Carefully lift Add-On Blind unit and place against your door.

Add-On Blind unit should t ush against the door.
Tip: If the Add-On Blind frame interferes with your doorknob or deadbolt
escutcheon plate
(g. 1), remove the ller strip located on the side of the
Add-On Blind
(g. 2). The ller strip can be secured back into place if needed.

Add-On Blind unit should cover the entire glass.
Tip: Because the frame is designed to t door glass units of various heights
and widths, your unit may extend a couple inches beyond your actual glass.

marco en relieve y tiene oricios para tornillos/tapones, llama a nuestra línea de Servicio al Cliente

Consejo: Si tu mano baja al vidrio al pasarla por la puerta, entonces tienes un marco a ras (Figura A).
• Desempaca tu unidad de persiana complementaria e inspecciónala para ver si está dañada.
• Levanta con cuidado la unidad de persiana complementaria para colocarla contra tu puerta.

La unidad de persiana complementaria debe quedar a ras contra la puerta.
Consejo: Si el marco de la persiana complementaria interere con el picaporte o la placa protectora del
cerrojo de
seguridad (Fig. 1), quitar la tira de relleno localizada en el lado de aquella persiana (Fig. 2). La tira de
relleno
puede asegurarse de nuevo en su lugar si fuere necesario.

La unidad de persiana complementaria debe cubrir el vidrio por completo.
Consejo: Puesto que el marco está concebido para ajustarse a unidades de vidrio de puerta de varias
alturas y anchos, tu unidad pudiera extenderse un par de pulgadas más allá de vidrio que tienes.

2. LOCATE GLASS LINE
• Locate the actual glass line, or “witness line,” on your door (g. 3).
Tip: There should be a slight groove or visible line roughly an inch larger than the
viewable glass in your door. This line, or groove, is the actual size of your door glass.
It is important that you drill or screw above the “witness line” to avoid
breaking your glass.
• Use a tape measure to nd the center of your door glass and make a mark with a pencil
above your door glass “witness line”.
2. UBICAR LA LÍNEA DEL VIDRIO
• Ubica en tu puerta la línea del vidrio que tienes (“línea testigo”) [Fig. 3].
Consejo: Debe apreciarse una ligera ranura o línea visible de más o menos una pulgada más grande que el vidrio
visible en tu puerta. Esta línea o ranura indica el tamaño real del vidrio de tu puerta. Es importante que taladres
o atornilles por encima de la “línea testigo” para evitar romper el vidrio.
• Usa una cinta de medir para dar con el centro del vidrio de la puerta y marca con lápiz más arriba
de su “línea testigo”.
