Althoughthisproductissafe,pleaseobservetheinformationandwarningsfromtheusermanual.
Theusermanualisinstalledatthedevicesinternalmemoryandcanbeaccessedoverthemainmenu.
Pleaserefertotheusermanualfordetailedinstructions,conformityandsupport
information.
‐Toopentheusersmanualpleasetaponthemanualiconyoucan
seeatthehomescreentoopenthefolderwherethemanualsare
storedin.
TurningOn/Off
Toturnonthedevice,pressandholdthePowerbuttonontheunituntilyousee
theboot‐upscreenthenrelease.Itmaytakeafewminutestostartupthesystem,
pleasewaitbeforeyouproceed.
Toturnoffthedevice,pressandholdthePower
buttonuntilyouseetheoption
“PowerOff”,tapon“PowerOff”andthentapon“OK”.
Tip:Thisdevicewillsleepwiththescreenoffifitstaysinactiveforafewseconds.Youcan
brieflypressthePowerbuttontoturnonthescreenandwakeitup.

Touchscreen
Thetouchscreenisacapacitivedisplayanddesignedforprecisionandrespondsbestwhen
touchedwiththesmallestpointpossible.Usetheflatpadofyourfingertotouchthescreen.
ConnectviaUSB
Pleasenote:PleasemakesurewhenconnectingtheUSBadapteror
connectorcablesattentiontothecorrectalignmentoftheconnector
beforeinsertingitintotheUSBsocketontheunit.Incorrectinsertion
maycausedamagetoplugandsocket.
Onthesideoftheplugthereareusuallysmallsizesofhooks
thatsecurethefixation.
Payspecialattentiononthepositionofthehooks,theyshow
upwardwhenconnectingcableswhilethescreenisabove.
InstallingMemoryCard
ThisdevicecanreadfilesdirectlyfrommemorycardandUSBmemory.
OpenthemicroSDcardcompartmentatthebacksideoftheengine.Softlyuse
yourfingernailtoopenthecompartmentstartingfromtheedgeofit.
Touseamemorycard,findthecardslotatthesideof
thedeviceandtheninsert
thememorycardintotheslotinthecorrectorientationorConnectUSBMemory
usingaUSBadaptorcable(notprovided).Toaccessthefilesstoredinthe
memorycard,entertheExplorermodebytappingtheExplorericonandselect
the“SDCard”directory.
‐CheckthattheSDcardisinthecorrectpositionwiththecontactpinfacing
downwardsasillustrated.YoumaydamagethecardandthereaderifSDcardis
notinsertedincorrectposition.
‐PushtheSDcardintothecardslotuntilitclicks.
‐ToremoveSD
card,pushtheSDcardonceagainuntilitclicks.
Note:WerecommendusingonlyMicroSDorSDHCcardsupto32GBcapacity.
‐WhenaSDcardisinsertedinorejectedfromthedevice,itmaytakefewsecondsforthe
devicetoupdatethecontent.
‐PleaseavoidinsertingorejectingSDcardwhenotheroperationisrunningasthismaycause
thesystemhang.
‐DoNotremovethecardifthecontentinsidethecardisbeingplayed.Thiswillhaltthe
operationofthedeviceandmightcauseasystemhang.
‐PleaseuseyourfingernailstoproperlyinsertorremovetheSDcard.
TransferringFiles
Beforereadingorplayingfiles,youneedtotransfermediafilesfromacomputertothedevice.
(1) ConnectthedevicetoacomputerwiththesuppliedUSBcableandtapon“TurnonUSBstorage”.
(2) Onceconnected,tworemovablediskdriveswillshowonyourcomputer.Onerepresentsthe
internalmemoryofthedevice,andtheotherrepresentsthememorycardinsertedintothe
device.Nowyoucancopyfilesfromortothesediskdrivesjustasyouwouldonyourharddrive.
(3) Choose“TurnoffUSBStorage”andthentap“TurnOff”todisconne ctthedevice
fromcomputer.
(4) DisconnectthedevicefromthePCsafely.
a) Left‐clickthe
iconattherightbottomcornerofthecomputerdesktop.
b) Clickthepop‐upmini‐windowmessageof“StoptheUSBMassStorageDevice–Drive(X).”
c) Disconnectthedevicefromthecomputer.
Note:Thepre‐installedapplicationsandAndroidOSoccupyaconsiderablepartofcapacity–nearlymorethan
1GB,itisnormalthatyouseehugedifferencebetweenavailablememoryspaceandtotalcapacity.
Caution!ThedevicesupportsAdobeDRMcontents.AdobeDigitalEditions(ADE)isrequired.Pleaserefertothe
user’smanualforcloserinformation’sonhowtouseDRMprotectedfiles.
Screenlock
Thescreenautomaticallyturnsoffandlocksitselfafterasetperiodoftime.
