2 Connect the other end of the USB cable (3) to an available USB port

(4) on the side of the iMac, or on a USB hub (5).

To connect the USB cable directly to the iMac, open the port door

(6) on the side of the iMac, and with the three-pronged USB icon

facing up, plug the cable into the USB port.

To connect the USB cable to a USB hub, plug the cable into the

hub as shown below. The USB hub itself can be connected to a

free USB port on the side of the iMac or on the iMac keyboard.

Caution:

Do not plug the USB cable directly into the iMac keyboard. The

USB port on the keyboard does not supply its own power, so the

combined current drain of the printer and the keyboard might

exceed USB specifications.

3 Turn on the printer (and the USB hub, if connected), and then turn on

the iMac computer.
