Troubleshooting 7-3
Clearing Paper Jams
Follow these steps to clear a paper jam.

First, press the
power
button to shut off the power.

Press the front cover release button and gently open the front cover.

Press down on the release lever (1) and gently pull out the jammed
paper.
Paper jams can be caused by a dirty platen. For information on cleaning
see ‘Cleaning the Platen’ in Chapter 6 - Maintaining the Printer.

Close the front cover.
5
Press the
power button to turn on the power.
