S WITCH W HITE /B LACK P RINT C ARTRIDGES
The procedure to switch the White Print Cartridge and Black Print Cartridge is laid out below.
The following example shows how to switch out the White Print Cartridge and replace it with
the Black Print Cartridge.
1. Press the up or down scroll button on the operation panel of the device to
display [Menus] - [System Adjust] - [Spot Color] menu.
2. Change setting from [White] to [Black].
3. After [Spot Color settings changes. Shut down and restart to enable new
settings.] is displayed on the operation panel, turn of power.
4. Press the cover release and open the printer's top cover fully.
5. Remove the White Printer Cartridge, taking care not to touch the green cylinder on
the bottom of the Print Cartridge.
NOTE
In order to maintain high quality printing, it is necessary to use paper that
fulfills the quality, thickness and surface finish conditions. When using Black
Print Cartridge, please thoroughly test the print quality and paper traction
beforehand, and check that there are no impediments before use.
If using a (paper) medium that is curled or wrinkled before printing, print
quality and paper feed performance cannot be assured.
NOTE
> To prevent photodegredation of the Print Cartridge, do not leave it in
direct sunlight or fluorescent light.
> Be careful not to touch or scratch the green cylinder on the bottom of the
print cartridge.
