Troubleshooting Problems
The Clock
1. If the clock is not working, check the clock on/off switch at the back of the Robin
is ON.
2. If the alarm is not working, check that the alarm on/off switch is showing a green
light.
3. If the snooze is not working, check that the alarm is on.
The Speaker and Audio
You can control the audio sound from both the Robin or your phone, the control levels
of both will affect the quality and performance.
If you have no sound at all, then try the following:
1. Check that the set top bluetooth light should is on, which means its connected.
2. Turn up the volume on the top of the Robin using the + control until it beeps.
3. Turn up the volume on your phone to maximum.
4. Check you have a Bluetooth connection to the “Oliver Hemming Robin Speaker
Clock” in your phone.
5. Try pressing the Play / Pause button, on both the Robin and your phone,
you maybe in pause mode.
If the quality of the audio sounds poor or muf ed. Then its likely the input signal is not
strong enough. Turn up the volume of your phone to about 70% of its maximum and
then adjust the volume on the Robin so that the sound is as you want it. If the volume
on the phone is not loud enough then the Robin ampli er cannot clearly reproduce
the music.
The Usb sockets
The 2 USB points are for charging only, they are NOT audio inputs. Their output is
5V/2amp and they can charge a smart phone or a tablet like an Ipad.
The Bluetooth Pairing
1. Switch on the bluetooth in your phone and stand about 3 feet or 1m away.
2. Make sure no other nearby device is connected which may stop your connection.
3. Make sure that you press the Blue Pairing button on top for 2-3 seconds so that it
is ashing and then search in your phone’s Bluetooth settings for “Oliver Hemming
Robin Speaker Clock” in the available devices section, and connect to it.
4. If it still won’t connect, switch your bluetooth on and off in your phone and try
again. Remember that pairing can only happen when the blue light is ashing.
5. No passwords are required so it should be a simple click and connect process.
6. Try all the above with another phone or bluetooth device. Yours may be broken !
The Robin will auto connect to the same device it was connected to before, so you
don’t need to keep reconnecting as long as you are within 6-10 feet or 2-3 meters.
