PROGRAMMING PRICE LOOK-UPS (PLUS)
Up to 3000 PLUs can be programmed. You can associate a specific sales item with each PLU code, specifying its name,
price (that can be fixed or overridable), VAT rate and department. When programming a PLU you can either type in the
numeric code or, if you have a barcode reader, you can scan the barcode of the article to input the code automatically
rather than typing it in. Furthermore, you can associate up to 20 PLUs with each [PLU List x] key so that, when the key
is pressed, its associated PLUs are displayed to allow the operator to select one.
By default, 35 PLU keys are present on the keypad. If required, you can map a further 15 keys using the option
Advanced Settings
-> Free Key Layout.
The PLU status can be programmed using the options in the table below.
To program a PLU select
Programming Mode -> Sales Programming -> PLU. Enter the PLU code. Navigate to the field you
want to personalize and enter its data (see “Data Entry Mode” for the keys to use).
At the end, you can press to return to the Main menu, to return to the previous menu or to skip
to the next form in sequence.
After programming PLUs, you can print a report showing the programmed values, see “X and Z Reports” for details.

PLU CODE 1 to

Select the PLU number you want to program: to display the next PLU in
sequence, press ; to jump to a specific PLU, enter its number on the
numeric keypad then press . You can also scan an item’s barcode.
NAME (Caption) Enter a max.16-character caption for the PLU. You can associate a name
with the PLU code to identify clearly the type of item it relates to. The
PLU names that you define will be printed on customer receipts, journal
reports and PLU management reports.
DEPT LINK 1 to 99 Enter Department. If 00 is specified, the PLU is not programmed.
Type the department number that you want to link the PLU to.
PRICE1 0.00 to 99999.99 Enter the price, max. 7 digits including two decimal places.
NOTE: When you enter a price, you are positioned automatically
on the next line. To jump to the PRICE field of the next
PLU in sequence, press .
PRICE2 0.00 to 99999.99 Program a second preset price for a PLU code. Details same as for
PRICE1 above.
PRICE TYPE OPEN, PRESET,
NORMAL
Enter the PLU price status: OPEN - price can only be entered manually,
PRESET - price can only be preset, NORMAL - price can be preset and
entered manually.
TAX STATUS NO TAX, TAX1,
TAX2, TAX3, TAX4
Enter VAT rate to apply to normal sales: NO TAX - Tax exempt, TAX1 -
Taxable with VAT rate 1, TAX2 - Taxable with VAT rate 2 and so on.
TAKE-OUT TAX NO TAX, TAX1,
TAX2, TAX3, TAX4
Enter VAT rate to apply to take-out sales: NO TAX - Tax exempt, TAX1 -
Taxable with VAT rate 1, TAX2 - Taxable with VAT rate 2 and so on.
STOCK IN 1 to 9999
Enter a max. 4-digit number indicating the number of items in stock for
the PLU code. Every time an iterm is sold, this number decrements
automatically so that it keeps track of the remaining number of items in
stock. If the value zero is specified, stock control is not activated for the
PLU. To add a number of items to the total currently in stock, enter the
number then press . To reduce the total number of items currently
held in stock by a certain number, enter the number then press .
POP LIST LINK NO, POP1 to POP5 You can associate PLUs with any one of the 5 [PLU List x] keys so that,
whenever the related key is pressed, the PLU appears in the list to allow
quick operator selection. A maximum of 20 PLUs can be programmed
for each [PLU List x] key. If you try to add a PLU to a [PLU List x] that is
full, an error message appears. NO - PLU code is not displayed in any of
these pop lists.
