PURGING THE PRINT HEAD
The print head purging procedure consists in sucking ink through the nozzles so as to free blocked nozzles
of air bubbles.
o The facsimile machine is on and in stand-by.
1. Press FUNCTION followed by 9.
2. Press START to access the menu.
3. Press START.
4. Press START.

The facsimile machine starts the print head purging operation.

Some problems that cannot be attributed to the facsimile machine malfunctioning may arise; the aim of this
section is to help you to solve these problems by yourself without wasting any time.
Note: if the solutions provided below do not eliminate the problems listed or if different problems arise, call
a technician from the Customer Engineering Service.
PROBLEM
The display is not activated.
CHECK IF:
• the facsimile machine is on;
• the power cable is correctly connected.
