Installation The base station and charging station have no power switch. Pay attention that a power socket is close to the equipment and that the power adapter plug can be accessed easily. Check that the voltage specifications on the power adapter plug matches that of the local power supply. Connecting the Charging Station Inserting the Batteries Open the battery compartment by sliding the cover downwards. Insert the batteries, type AAA, in the battery compartment, paying attention to correct polarity.

Telephoning Telephoning Internal Calls Indirect dialling If several handsets are registered on the base station, internal calls can be made between them free of charge. 1. Press the I button. 2. Telephoning Entering a Dialling Pause (P) Key Lock On/Off If the telephone is connected to a PABX, it may be necessary to enter a dialling pause, e.g. to wait for an outside line. Press the ; button after entering the digit following which a pause is required, e.g. 0 for an outside line (0P....). A P appears in the display to represent the pause. A pause can also be programmed for entries in the phone book. The phone keypad can be locked against use.

Answering Machine Answering machine The answering machine is operated via the base station. The voice communication from the answering machine is German. Answering machine on/off 1. Answering mode You can select between “Answer with message recording” (OGM 1) and “Answer only” (OGM 2) modes.
Answering Machine Setting the ring delay Playing messages/memos In order to have sufficient time to take an incoming call before the answering machine is activated, use this function to set the corresponding number of rings. You can set a number between 2 and 9 rings or the tollsaver function. The tollsaver function is used in connection with the remote access function. With this function, the answering machine answers a call after 5 rings if no new calls have been recorded.
Answering Machine Remote access The condition for using remote access is that you know the PIN code for the function. The default PIN code is 321. You can enter your own individual PIN code. 4. After entering the correct PIN code, the answering machine awaits further input. If you do not press any buttons, the call is disconnected. Note: Press the corresponding button on the telephone to initiate the various remote access/control functions on the answering machine.
