Remote access
The condition for using remote access is that you know the PIN code for
the function. The default PIN code is 321. You can enter your own individual
PIN code.
Changing the PIN code
1. Press the c button for 2 seconds.
2. The first PIN code digit flashes in the display.
3. Use the i and j buttons to select the required digit.
4. Press the c button to move to the next position.
Proceed in the same way to set the second and third digits.
Remote access/control of the answering machine
You can access and control your answering machine from a distant
DTMF-capable telephone (Dual Tone Multi-Frequency), i.e., you can play
and/or delete messages recorded on the answering machine.
1. Call your telephone/answering machine from a DTMF telephone. The
settings programmed then apply (refer to ”Ring delay”).
Note: If your answering machine is not switched on, it is activated
automatically after the tenth ring.
Note: If you only want to play messages newly recorded and have selected
the tollsaver function, you can interrupt the call after the 3rd ring. If new
messages have been recorded, the answering machine is activated after the
2nd ring. Thus, no costs ensue.
2. After the outgoing message has played, enter the remote access PIN
code (default setting is 321).
3. When the PIN code entered is correct, you hear two acoustic signals.
4. After entering the correct PIN code, the answering machine awaits
further input. If you do not press any buttons, the call is disconnected.
Note: Press the corresponding button on the telephone to initiate the various
remote access/control functions on the answering machine.
