3.9 Loading Originals

Before Making Copies or Faxing Chapter 3
Positioning Highly Transparent Originals
When making a copy from OHP transparencies, translucent paper, or other highly
transparent original, position the original as detailed below.
1 Raise the Auto Document Feeder.
2 Place the original face down on
the Original Glass.
3 Position the original on the
Original Glass so that the corner of
the original aligns with the arrow in
the upper-left corner of the
Original Scales.
4 Place a blank sheet of paper of the
same size over the original.
5 Gently lower the Auto Document Feeder.
6 Specify the desired copy or fax settings.

7 Press the [Start] key to start the print cycle.
