Battery/card basics
Charging the battery
This camera uses an Olympus lithium-ion battery (LI-10B). Other types of
batteries cannot be used.
The battery is not fully charged at the time of purchase. Be sure to use the
specified battery charger (LI-10C) to charge the battery before use. For more
information, read the manual supplied with the battery charger.
1 Connect the power
cord to the power
connector on the
battery charger.
2 Plug the power cord
into an AC wall outlet.
3 Insert the battery into
the battery charger
while aligning the +
- marks on both the
battery and battery
charger.
• The charging indicator
lights red and charging
begins.
• When charging is
complete, the indicator
lights green.
