zWhen the camera is connected to a PC or printer.
Possible cause Corrective action Ref. page
The printer fails to connect.
PC was selected on the
monitor after connecting
to the printer with a USB
cable.
Remove the USB cable, and start again from
step 1 of “Connecting the camera to a
printer”.

The printer does not
support PictBridge.
Refer to the printer’s instruction manual or
contact the manufacturer.

The camera is not recognized by the PC.
The USB driver has not
been installed.
It is necessary to install the USB driver for
Windows 98/98SE. For installation
instructions, see “DIGITAL CAMERA-PC
CONNECTION OPERATION MANUAL” on
the CD-ROM.

The camera has not been
turned on.
Slide the power switch to q to turn the
camera on.
