Compose the picture, aim the
remote control at the remote
control window on the camera,
then press the shutter button on
the remote control to take the
picture.
The self-timer lamp will blink.

When the mode dial is set to P, A,
S, M, or S-Prg...
Press the shutter button on the
remote control.
The self-timer lamp will blink and
the shutter will be released in
approx. 3 seconds.
When the mode dial is set to
(movie),
press the shutter button
on the remote control.
The self-timer lamp will blink and
the shutter will be released in
approx. 2 seconds. Recording will
then start. To stop recording, press
the shutter button. The card will
then begin storing the picture data
taken so far.

When the remote control does not
work
If the self-timer lamp does not blink
when the shutter button on the remote
control is pressed, get closer to the
camera and try it again.
If the self-timer lamp does not blink,
there may be frequency interference.
Change the remote control's frequency
according to its instruction manual.

Working distance may be reduced in brightly lit areas, such as direct
sunlight.
Do not expose the remote control window to bright light.
The self-timer/remote control mode will not be cancelled when shooting is
finished.
