The flash does not fire.
1 The flash mode was set to the Off mode.
[ Push up the flash to use it. (P. 52) The flash cannot be used in
the Sequence mode or Panorama mode. (P. 73/75)
2 The subject is lighted.
[ Set the flash to Fill-In mode. (P. 55)
The pictures already taken do not appear on the LCD monitor.
1 The camera is in the Record mode.
[ Close the lens barrier and press the LCD monitor ON/OFF button.

2 There is no picture in the card.
[ NO PICTURE appears on the LCD monitor. (P. 84)
3 There is a problem with the card.

4 The camera is connected to a TV.
[ The LCD monitor turns off when connected to a TV.
The LCD monitor is hard to read.
1 The brightness may be incorrectly set.
[ Adjust the brightness. (P. 99)
2 It is under sunlight.
[ Block the sunlight.
3 The LCD monitor is broken.
[ Have it repaired.
Protection, One-Frame erase, All-Frame erase or Card format cannot
be performed.
1 A write-protect adhesive seal is placed on the card.
[ Remove the seal from the card. Do not use the seal again.
