Chapter 7 Battery pack Replacement

Always use the battery pack designated below. To order a new battery pack, contact Olympus.

WARNING

Do not use a battery pack not specified for your tablet. Using the wrong type of

battery could result in an explosion, fire, or smoke.

CAUTION

• Read this chapter before replacing the battery pack to do it properly. Otherwise it

may cause electric shock, fire, and/or damage of this instrument.

• If leaking or an abnormal odor from the battery is observed, immediately remove

the battery from any heat source in the vicinity. The electrolytic solution may ignite,

causing release of smoke, an explosion, and/or a fire.

• Do not insert the battery pack near a place exposed to liquids or dust. Doing so

could allow penetration of dust or liquids, potentially resulting in a fire.

• Do not insert the battery pack with wet hands. Doing so may cause an electric

shock.

• Do not fasten the screws too tight when screwing the battery pack or battery cover.

Doing so may damage this instrument.

NOTE

• Insert the battery pack with the tablet positioned horizontally. Otherwise the battery

pack may not be inserted securely and power may not be supplied.

• Make sure that you do not damage the LCD while replacing the battery pack.

• It is recommended that the battery pack be replaced when it is no longer possible to

charge enough or if the usable time is getting shorter.
