• Do not operate the lens latch or open the battery/card compartment/connector

cover with wet hands, while under water, or on a beach or in other damp or

dusty locations.

• The camera does not float.

• Do not use in baths or hot springs.

• The lens protector is not for underwater use. Use the underwater lens

protector.

After Use:

• Be sure to wipe off any excess water or debris after using the camera under

water.

• After using the camera in salt water, immerse it in a bucket of fresh

water for about 10 minutes (with the underwater lens protector attached

and the battery/card compartment/connector cover securely closed

and latched) and then leave it to dry in a shady, well-ventilated location.

Do not leave the camera for more than 60 minutes before washing it in

fresh water. Failure to observe this precaution could adversely affect its

appearance or leave it more vulnerable to leaks.

• When opening the battery/card compartment/

connector cover, open slowly with the camera

orientated as shown in the illustration to prevent

water drops entering the camera. If any water

drops are found on the inner side of the cover,

be sure to wipe them off before using the

camera.

• Should water get inside the steady grip, drain the

water out through the drain holes in the bottom of

the grip and dry it using a dry cloth.
