7.5 Configuring the Input Filter (Pen Model)
Noise in the measured signal can be suppressed in the final measurement by using an
input filter. The purpose of this setting is to select for each channel whether or not to
use a filter, and if so, to select a time constant of damping.
A filter works as follows:

If a filter is used, the response time can be selected from 2, 5 or 10 seconds.
You can choose from three filters:
2 seconds
5 seconds
10 seconds.
The initial value is ‘OFF’.
SETTING PROCEDURE:
Enter the SET UP mode by turning ‘ON’ the power while pressing and holding the [CH
UP] ( ENT) key until the SET UP display appears.
Use the [ ] key to select the display [ ]. Press the [ENT] key.
Select the channel No. using the [ ] key for which you want to specify a filter. Then
press the [ENT] key.
Use the [ ] key to select the type of filter you want to use. You can choose from
OFF’, ‘2’, ‘5’ or ‘10’. Press the [ENT] key. The display [ ] will appear.
Press the [ENT] key to continue the setting for other channels. The filter setting has
been completed, but has not been stored yet.
Before leaving the SET UP mode, you have to store your new settings. Use the [ ] key
to select the [ ] display, and press the [ENT] key.
Select [ ] to keep your new settings or [ ] to abort the settings, and
press the [ENT] key. After a few seconds, the OPERATION mode will appear.
