E32 E32 Installation J SENSING HEAD J CUTTING FIBER Mounting Sensing Head in a Panel Insert a fiber into the Fiber and determine the length of the fiber to be cut. Prepare a hole in the panel that can accommodate the threaded cylindrical sensing head. Be sure to place the washer in front of the mounting nut before inserting the sensing head through the hole. Tighten the front mounting nut using no more than the maximum torque recommended in the table.

The smaller the bending radius becomes, the shorter the sensing distance will be. E32 E32 Proper Supports for Cables J INSTALLING FIBER CABLES To support the fiber cable between the sensing site and the amplifier, mount the cable using a nylon strap or cable tie. Do not use a U-shaped strap that will compress or put stress on the fiber cable. To prevent damage from excessive vibration, take up the fiber in a loop as shown below. Bends in Fiber cables Plastic and glass filament fiber cables may be bent to avoid obstacles on the way to the sensing site.
