9-2 Error Processing
9-2-1 Error Categories
Errors in the FQM1 can be broadly divided into the following three categories.
9-2-2 Error Information
There are basically four sources of information on errors that have occurred:
The LED indicators on the front of the Coordinator and Motion Control
Modules
The Auxiliary Area Error Flags
The Auxiliary Area Error Contents Words
The Auxiliary Area Error Code Word
Note When two or more errors occur at the same time, the highest (most serious)
error code will be stored in A400.
Indicator Status and
Error Conditions
The following table shows the status of the FQM1’s indicators for errors that
have occurred in RUN or MONITOR Mode.
Category Result Indicators Comments
RDY RUN ERR
Standby The FQM1 will not start operation
in RUN or MONITOR mode.
OFF OFF OFF This status occurs when a faulty
Motion Control Module is con-
nected.
Non-fatal Errors
(including FAL)
The FQM1 will continue operating
in RUN or MONITOR mode.
ON
(Green)
ON
(Green)
Flashing
(Red)
This status indicates a non-fatal
error other than a communications
error.
Fatal Errors
(including FALS)
The FQM1 will stop operating in
RUN or MONITOR mode.
ON
(Green)
OFF ON
(Red)
This status indicates a fatal error
other than a power interruption.
(The indicators will all be OFF when
there is a power interruption.)
