Listening to AM/FM radio
Tuning into stations automatically
1. Press the TUNER button repeatedly to select either
“AM” or “FM” on the display.
2. Press the ENTER button repeatedly until “AUTO”
appears on the display.
3. Press 2 TUN/TUN 1 buttons to start Auto tuning.
0 Searching automatically stops when a station is
found. When tuned into a radio station, the
indicator on the display lights.
When the reception of FM broadcasts is poor: If the
radio wave reception is weak or there is excess noise in
your location, refer to “Tuning into stations manually” on
the next section to change the reception setting to
monaural. This can minimise the noise and audio
interruptions.
Tuning into stations manually
If you tune into an FM radio station manually, it will be
received in monaural sound.
1. Press the TUNER button repeatedly to select either
“AM” or “FM” on the display.
2. Press the ENTER button repeatedly until “AUTO” on
the display disappears.
3. Press 2 TUN/TUN 1 buttons to select the desired
radio station.
0 The frequency changes by 1 step each time you
press the button. The frequency changes
continuously if the button is held down and stops
when the button is released. Tune by looking at the
display.
0 You can change the AM frequency step. See “AM
Freq. Step” under “Menu settings” under “Various
settings”.
Tuning into stations by frequency
It allows you to directly enter the frequency of the radio
station you want to listen to.
1. Press the TUNER button repeatedly to select either
“AM” or “FM” on the display.
2. Press D.TUN button.
3. Using the number buttons, enter the frequency of the
radio station within 8 seconds.
0 To enter 87.50 (FM), for example, press [8], [7], [5],
[0]. If the entered number is incorrect, press the
D.TUN button again 8 seconds or more later and re-
enter the number.
