Listening Mode Description
Orchestra
Suitable for classical o1"operatic ruusic, this ruode eruphasizes the surround
channels ill order to widen the stereo iruage, and siruulates the natural rever-
beratiou of a large hall.
Unplugged Suitable for acoustic iustrumeuts, vocals, and jazz, this ruode emphasizes the
frout stereo image, giving the impressiou of beiug right in front of the stage.
Studio-Mix Suitable for rock or pop music, listeuiug to music in this mode creates a
lively sound field with a powerful acoustic image, like being at a club or rock
coucert.
TV Logic This mode adds realistic acoustics to TV show's produced in a TV studio,
surround effects to the entire sound, and clarity to voices.
Game-RPG Use this mode when playing role playing game discs.
Game-Action Use this mode when playing action game discs.
Game-Rock Use this mode when playing rock game discs.
Game-Sports Use this mode when playing sports game discs.
All Ch Stereo Ideal for background music, this mode fills the eutire listeuiug area with ste-
reo sound from the front, surround, and surround back speakers.
Full Mono In this mode, all speakers output the same souud in mouo, so the souud you
hear is the same regardless of where you are within the listening room.
T-D (Theater- With this mode you cau eujoy a virtual surrouud souud eveu with only two or
Dimensional) three speakers. This works by coutrolliug how' sounds reach the listener's left
and right ears. Good results may not be possible if there's too much reverb,
so we recommend that you use this mode in an environment with little or no
natural reverb.

"1 When the input source contains the encoded front high channel, front high speakers output the sound.
*2 If there are no surround back speakers, or Powered Zone 2 is being used, Dolby Pro Logic II is used.
*3 Surround back speakers are not supported.
*4 Front high speakers are not supported.
*5 For the Blu-ray Discs, Dolby Digital is used in a 3.1/5. l-channel speaker system.
"6 AV receiver can input the DSD signal from HDMI IN. Setting the output setting on the player side to PCM might obtain a better
sound according to the player. In that case, set the output setting on the player side to PCM.
