Advanced Setup
This section explains how to set the speaker
settings manually. This can be useful for
checking the speaker setting or making
changes if you add additional speakers to
your system after running the automatic
speaker setup.
Some of the speaker settings are set automati-
cally by the Automatic Speaker Setup func-
tion (see page 32).
Speaker Configuration
With the Speaker Configuration, you can
specify how may speakers you’re using.
Note:
• Before you change this setting, turn down
the volume.
Manual Speaker Setup
This setting is set automatically by the
Automatic Speaker Setup function (see
page 32).

Press the [SETUP] button.

Use the Up and Down [ ]/[ ]
buttons to select “2. Speaker
Setup,” and then press
[ENTER].
“Speaker Config” appears on the
display.

Press [ENTER] and “Sub-
woofer” appears on the dis-
play. Use the Left and Right
[ ]/[ ] buttons to select:
Yes:
Select if a subwoofer is
used.
No:
Select if no subwoofer is
used.

Press the Down [ ] button to
select “Front,” and then use the
Left and Right [ ]/[ ] but-
tons to select:
Small:
Select if the front speak-
ers are small.
Large:
Select if the front speak-
ers are large.
Note:
• If the Subwoofer setting in
step 3 is set to No, this setting
is fixed at Large and does not
appear.
