Equalizer Settings
With the Equalizer settings, you can adjust
the tone of each speaker.

Press the [SETUP] button.

Use the Up and Down [ ]/[ ]
buttons to select “2. Speaker
Setup,” and then press
[ENTER].

Use the Up and Down [ ]/[ ]
buttons to select “Equalizer,”
and then press [ENTER].

These settings are set automatically by
the Automatic Speaker Setup function
(see page 32).

Use the Left and Right [ ]/[ ]
buttons to select:
Off:
Tone off, response flat.
Audyssey:
The tone for each
speaker is set automatically
by the Automatic Speaker
Setup function. Be sure to
select this setting after hav-
ing performed the Automatic
Speaker Setup. This option
is available only if the Auto-
matic Speaker Setup func-
tion has been run.
Manual:
You can adjust the
equalizer for each speaker
manually.
If you selected Manual, continue
with this procedure. If you
selected Off or Audyssey, pro-
ceed to step 8.

Press the Down [ ] button,
and then use the Left and Right
[ ]/[ ] buttons to select a
speaker.
You can adjust the EQ for the
following speakers:
Front:
Front left and right
speakers.
Center:
Center speaker.
Surround:
Surround left and
right speakers.
SurrBack:
Surround back left
and right speakers.
Subwoofer:
This subwoofer.
Speakers that you set to No or
None in the “Speaker Configura-
tion” on page 56 cannot be
selected.
